Atlantic Star Design specializes in living roof design and installation, landscape design, and construction services. The firm offers design services ranging from schematic concept design through construction and bid documents, plus design-build and maintenance services for living roofs. They also work with native and edible landscapes, low impact development strategies, parks and recreational design, and historic and cultural landscapes.

Georgia's State Licensing Board for Residential and Commercial General Contractors oversees general and residential contractors. Landscape architects and design professionals may hold different credentials depending on the scope of their work; you can verify any contractor's license status through the Georgia Secretary of State's online portal.

To check whether a contractor holds a Georgia professional license, use the Secretary of State's license verification tool at https://verify.sos.ga.gov/verification/. You can search by business name or license number. If Atlantic Star Design or any contractor tells you they hold a state license, verify it through this system before hiring.

When hiring for landscape design and construction work, ask whether the firm carries appropriate licensing for the scope of your project, what the timeline and phases will be (from design through construction and inspection), and how they handle revisions and site-specific challenges like drainage, soil conditions, or historic or cultural considerations.
