Hiring a General Contractor in Atlanta, Georgia
Georgia's residential and commercial general contractors are licensed by the State Licensing Board for Residential and Commercial General Contractors. Before hiring, verify that your contractor holds a current license. You can look up any Georgia professional license—including general and residential contractor licenses—through the Georgia Secretary of State's online verification system at https://verify.sos.ga.gov/verification/. Search by the contractor's name or license number to confirm their credentials and check that their license is active.
