Jim Wilson Plumbing

Jim Wilson Plumbing serves Lake Worth and West Palm Beach with residential and commercial plumbing repair and installation. The business has been family-owned since 2003.

Services include hot water heater repair and installation, water and drain line work, slab and wall leak detection with video camera capability, disposal and washer installation, tub and shower work, faucet and fixture repair and replacement, tub-to-shower conversions, sump pumps, water hammer correction, and energy-efficient solutions. The company offers both hourly and by-the-job pricing, free estimates on all services, and no diagnostic fees. You reach the owner directly when you call, and appointments can be scheduled 24/7. The owner has over 20 years of plumbing experience and offers phone quotes that may eliminate the need for a service call.

In Florida, plumbing work typically requires permits through your local jurisdiction. The Construction Industry Licensing Board oversees contractor licensing in the state. Before hiring a plumber, confirm that the contractor holds the correct license type for the work you need done.

You can verify a plumber's license status using the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) license search portal. Search by the contractor's name, license number, or city to check if they are currently licensed and in good standing.

Ask your plumber whether permits are required for the specific work—whether repair, installation, or replacement—and who will handle obtaining them. The Florida Building Code sets standards for plumbing installations, so permitted work is inspected to ensure compliance.
